he aha te momo kai ki roto e te māra?

What type of kai?  Primarily riwai, maori potatoes.  We’ve got about seven different varieties that we’re growing.  We have corn, beans, scarlet lima’s that I originally got from my mother, three different types of beans.  I’m talking about summer, what we have in the garden now.  It’s been quite a slow growing season because it’s been so cold, and now it’s really dry, so most things are struggling.  So mostly potatoes, beans, corn, courgettes, pumpkin, kumara, marrow, tomatoes, lettuce, capsicums, watermelon.  We’re just harvesting the garlic, that’s been in since June, July.
